一、 教学目标:通过学生分组讨论节日的活动,找出中西方节日的相同与不同之处,从而感受中西方的文化差异,激发学生热爱生活享受生活的情感。
二、 教学内容:
1. 圣诞与春节的不同活动,并找出2个节日的相同与不同之处。
2. 比较万圣节与中秋节的不同活动,了解中西方节日的不同起源。
3. 讨论节日的好处。
三、教学步骤:
一、Free talk
T: What date is it today ?
T: What holiday is coming?
T: What do you usually do on …Day?
二、Compare Christmas and Spring Festival
1、T:What holiday do you like best?
T: 当有学生说到Christmas时,引出阅读材料。(把阅读材料分成四份,每人读一段,然后找出这部分的中心句。)
2、把四句中心句放在一起,让学生说一段话。
3、启发学生,What is the biggest holiday in China? 引出Spring Festival 讨论春节人们的活动,并且进行匹配练习。
4、Find out the same things and the different things between them. Work in groups.
在进行不同点对比的时候,教授新词:decoration , activity
5、Besides these traditional activities, people also have many colourful activities.通过看图片了解音乐之都维也纳和百老汇歌剧院,并欣赏短句《Snow White》。
三、Compare Halloween and Mid-Autumn Festival
1、由问题 Besides Christmas, do you know another funny festival in Western?引出Halloween.并讨论Why it is funny? 并观看录像万圣节最普遍的游戏Apple Bobbing.
2、再由In our country, we also play with lanterns on that holiday.引出Mid-Autumn Festival,并谈论人们的活动。
3、告诉学生Mid Autumn Festival is about the story? A beautiful woman who lives in the moon. 学生就知道是嫦娥了。再告诉学生Halloween 的来历。总结 The origin of them is different. 学生学origin.
4、引导学生思考What is the origin of Christmas and Dragon Boat Festival?
5、学生发现Western Festivals are about religion, but ours are about folk stories.并且学习新词religion,folk stories。
四、 The benefits of the holidays
1、学生讨论为什么喜欢假日。
2、教师总结节日的内涵。
